The hubs and I were lucky to snag this hard to get reservation and enjoyed a spectacular date night in Magic Kingdom! Here's a few tips to have the best night ever (and review of our dining experience)
Reservation
Let's start with that all important reservation! First thing you want to do is get on your computer 60 days before your reservation (recommend the computer vs. the phone as it's easier to navigate and fiddle faddle back and forth). Currently Disney is allowing you to make reservations 60 days out, plus the length of your stay (in the past it was 180 days in advance).
On that morning you need to log in at 6 am EST and have your time and day in mind to reserve. These reservations go so fast, so be sure to check for these hard to get ones first!
If you don't get a reservation that morning, don't fret, we have had luck getting a reservation a couple days later, the day before, or even earlier the day you want to dine! We are definitely team #fiddlefaddle (refreshing the page every few minutes)
Day of Reservation
Congrats on your reservation! Now try to get to the restaurant about 15 minutes before your reservation, this will help with any special requests. Our trip was Pre-COVID so fireworks were running and our reservation was going to be around the time the fireworks were going to be set off, so I was really hoping to get a table near the window so that we could easily watch them. I knew this was going to be very hard to do, but heard all you can do is ask. I proceeded to ask at every opportunity haha, on the app, at the check in desk and with the waiter who was seating us. I'm not sure which one worked, but it can't hurt to try each of them if you also want that table!
Meet & Greet
The first step of the night is meeting with Cinderella! We were lucky to get to meet Cinderella, at the time she is not doing meet & greets, but does make an appearance during the meal.
Cinderella's Castle
On your way up the stairs to the dining room be sure to take a minute to admire this gorgeous stained glass window and look a bit around the castle, you after all are getting the opportunity to dine in Cinderella's Castle!
Menu
Check out the menu here for the latest offerings:
Wine/beverages
We each got a wine flight to have with dinner, I got the sparkling and the hubs got the red wine flight. Both were wonderful and special to be enjoying as wine is not served in Magic Kingdom other than at sit down restaurants. I also found out the the champagne on the far right was the first drink to be offered in the Magic Kingdom.
Appetizers
We got the; charcuterie which had prosciutto, grainy mustard, pate, castle pickles and crostini. and the scallops with truffle mouse, mushrooms and peas.
Both were delicious, but only the charcuterie is offered now (they also have a salad and soup of the day).
Entrees
For our entrees we got the; Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Celery Root Mash, Rainbow Carrots, and Sauce Bordelaise. and the Roasted Airline Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Sautéed Spinach with a Leek-Mustard Cream Sauce. Once again both were delicious, I believe the chicken is still there, but a slight variation on it.
Desserts
For the finale of our meal we got; The Clock Strikes Twelve- Dark Chocolate Mousse with a Caramel and Crunchy Praline Center, served with Chocolate Sauce and Hazelnut Gelato. and the Coffee Pots de Crème; Coffee-infused Coconut 'Custard', Passion Fruit Gelée, and Crumbled Chocolate-Espresso Beans (Plant-based). We both enjoyed our desserts, but my husband absolutely loved his dessert and talks about it till this day!
Princess Meet & Greets
At the time we were lucky to get to meet princesses during our meal! We got to meet Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora & Ariel! Every princess was fantastic and we had hilarious and engaging conversations with each of them.
Fireworks
Just as we got our desserts Happily Ever After started and we were able to enjoy them from our table, the view was spectacular and truly was the cherry on top of a fantastic evening! We also were able to catch the next show after we left!
Overall
Cinderella's Royal Table is definitely one we would recommend! In our experience the food was wonderful and prepared well, with interesting offerings that are approachable and innovative. The service was great from start to finish (Cast Members truly are one of the best parts of Disney). This is a once in a lifetime experience and I do recommend choosing it for a special occasion. It is a different experience right now as you don't get to meet with Cinderella and the princesses (just a short appearance by Cinderella during dinner) so if you're looking for that, it might be one to wait for. That being said, we did really enjoy it and I can see us seeking it out again in the future!
